Bill Worthington’s experience encompasses over 30 years of real estate activities, including law, finance, construction, development, investments and consulting.  He has served as the managing principal of his own development firm, regional development manager for national real estate development companies, and director of a federally chartered savings bank.

Prior to forming Ampelon, Mr. Worthington was Senior Vice President of ORIX Real Estate Equities, Inc. with regional responsibilities for development projects in northern California and the northwest.  

Prior to joining ORIX, Mr. Worthington was responsible for the following projects and activities:

• Responsible for all development activities undertaken by Jones Lang LaSalle in Northern California.

• Providing consulting services to the City of San Francisco on the $1.1 billion Transbay Terminal Project  and predevelopment services for the County of Sonoma on a $100 million office project.

• Development of the headquarters campus of Visa International, consisting of four phases and totaling over 900,000 SF of office space. 

• Serving as a director of Southern California Federal Savings and Loan, a $3.1 billion financial institution and World Trade Bank, a $1.5 billion commercial bank. 

• Prior to that, Mr. Worthington was Executive Vice President of C. L. Peck Contractor, a $300 million annual volume general contractor located in Los Angeles (1976-1983) and a Senior Vice President of Alison Mortgage Investment Trust (1971-1976).

Education

Mr. Worthington holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley.  He has also earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California. 

Mr. Worthington is a member (inactive) of the California State Bar, and is a licensed real estate broker in California.
